My Story

After tearing my right shoulder rotator cuff, the Doctor took an MRI and X-Ray. I was shocked to find out in mid-Nov '09 that I had a tumor in the upper right lung lobe. After a flurry of tests, biopsies, etc, I've been diagnosed with non-small cell lung cancer, which is also in the lung lymph nodes. On November 30th I start chemotherapy and radiation. Then a 3 week break, followed by surgery to remove the lung lobe. I have no symptoms whatsoever, so this is really hard to assimilate with all the information that has been thrown at me. I'm scared spitless and am having such a hard time staying mentally positive.

$10 Buck Two

‘$10 Buck Two’ pronounced Tim·buk·tu-, – An extreme inaccessibility or distant location.

Some of us live nearby some far away.
But for all of us, Correne is close to our hearts.

I think you guessed it by now. For Correne, some things are extremely distant like her 2010 medical deductible of $7,000 (so far, we raised $2,800 - nearly 40% of our goal).

How are we going to get to Timbuktu and raise the final $4200? With ‘$10 Buck Two’ we need to reach 420 people each to offer $10.

•We need your help rally everyone you can possibly reach (Facebook is a great source) and they send $10 to Correne via her bank or home address.

•By December we want to reaching our goal of $4,200. Add this to our $2800 to date and we have her $7,000 deductible.

•We think most everyone can offer $10 (it will take 420 people).

•Each of you ask your friends to ask two of their friends.

•We will take a mid campaign account and report to you on November 1st. Please follow along as we $10 Buck Two our way to raising the rest of her deductible.
